I think it is the new wood as i did a 50%WC last night and did not dose this morn and the ph went from 6.4 to 5-6

i cant take the wood out as the discus have just spawned on it

Do they cause a funny reading for ammonia?
i recently had an ammonia spike
0 in the morn but when i tested 4-6 hours later after dosing it read nearly 0.25
but today it was 0 in the morn i did not dose and the reading was still 0 4-6 hours later

Cheers, iv only had this problem since upping the dosage from 5ml to 15ml daily

my tank holds 400L of water, but with sand and rocks etc probably around 330L-350L could i be overdosing

i still want to use as the plants are doing great and its kepping the algae away

Would i see a change if i dose 10ml?

from the 15ml i have been adding how much ammonia would i be putting my tank?

is it just a trace which would not be picked up via api liquid tests?

TPN+ uses ammonium nitrate (NH4NO3),

so 15ml will add approx, 0.4ppm NH4

changing it to 10ml will add approx, 0.25ppm NH4

I wouldnt be worrying about it, as everyone who use Tropica doses the same quantities without problems, as an experiment, I once dose 10ml on my 60l for 1 week and the growth rate was amazing, no adverse affects to shrimp or fish. I only tried it because someone did it by accident and witnessed amazing results so i had to try it for myself
