Does Carbon Remove Ferts?

Hi there,

I recently ended an ich treatment in my planted tank. Did a water change and put carbon in the filter to remove the medication. As i was topping up the liquid ferts i wondered to myself if the carbon in my filter would remove it from the water.

What do you experts think!?

Yes, carbon will remove fertilizers. Most people with planted tanks don't use carbon.
