I recently recieved 3 small umbrella plants as a gift from my friend and I know nothing about them, but he said he got it at petsmart and its says its for aquariums and terrariums. I did my research and I thought maybe I was searching wrong but there usually kept as house plants!! I also read many post and the've said that they don't do well in ethier terrariums or aquariums which why would they sell them in the first place then? So does anyone have the or know about them and should they be in the gravel or attach to some thing cause there roots are terribly short.

there not aquatic

No, umbrella plants are not aquatic. Some stores often sell plants that are not really suitable for fish tanks. I tend to research them before buying...

I think those plants grow over a meter or so. There might be different types, but even though you got small ones doesn't mean that they'll stay small. In a large terrarium they might be OK, as long as you have the space for them to grow out. You would need much space IMO, but I am no expert...

Did ,"Got them as a gift", not explain them enough? I didn't wanna bw rude and say those are wrong hell the plants looks like a species of anubias and there not hurting anything. I'm only trying stuff out right now to see what I like.
