hmmm...doesnt say does it. I dont know if they have metal impellars as it says it can take solids going throught it of 8mm.

Laguna pond pumps are reef safe though iirc a lot of people use them as returns.

i believe the impeller is plastic as ive got it but dont wanna usre it for salt if it will break

if there are no metal parts that come into contact with the water, then it will be fine
