Hi again, i dont know whats up with my tank. My fish are flicking like mad (treating for whitespot) and my fish are having weird spasems. One of fish just went into a mad spinning spasem and went crazy (he's ok now)...does anyone know what this is?...i'll post my water stats tonight

how new are the fish into the tank??

my misses tank had this problem a little while back, my lfs reconed it was PH shock but i wansnt so sure.
i though it was more like to be some kind of bacteria!

have you had any deaths?
you can try turning up the temp in your tank a few degrees if you do have any parasites in there they dont like the warmer temeratures see if that helps it did in my misses tank

Hi, One of my fish seems to have something wrong with her mouth. It looks like extra skin around the mouth, so see can't close it properly. My temperature is at 29 degree because i'm treating for whitespot (ich)

The Emergency section would give you a quicker answer, or you could always PM Wilder as he seems to be the fish disease guru around these parts ;-} good luck!

i agree wilder is always good. she WILL ask you for all your tank stats so be prepared. but she can pinpoint even the rarest of disease in a tank. she helped me treat a weird case of paresites a while back that was only found in wild caught fish such as ottos (my otto cats were infected with it). well it wasn't a parasite, but it was liek a fungus/pod of spores. i forgot what it was, but it was extremely rare in any fish and she told me how to treat it and my fish got better. i recommend going to Wilder too.

as for your problem, it might be cottonmouth, but i can't tell you for sure. the stress of fighting the ich could have weakened the immune system and caused them to catch a secondary infection that only occurs when the immune system is weakened.

again i would ask in the emergency section or PM Wilder.

good luck though.
