The 2nd & 3rd pictures aren't bad as such, they just don't show the fish acting naturally.
Male texas cichlids have longer more pointed dorsal (top) and anal (bottom) fins. Females have shorter more rounder dorsal and anal fins. The anal fin on the fish in the top pic is pointed so I am guessing male.
As for age, there is no way of telling unless you grew the fish up from an egg. If a fish is grown properly from day one, it can reach a good size very quickly. Most fish mature within their first year. Texas cichlids hit 10 inches and should reach that in 12-18 months like they do in the wild. However, most fish are not grown properly and that fish could be 6 months or 2yrs old.
