Do you routinely treat new guppies for worms?

I'm starting a 10-gal mosquito trap outside. I got some guppies from a friend's water plant tubs: one male adult and 5 tiny babies. Should they get de-worming meds? What do you suggest? What age? They are all active and healthy-looking. I don't want to accidentally, somehow, introduce parasites to my house tank (also 10-gal) which has my Hawaiian 'alamo'o goby.

I never treat new guppies for worms. But I do put them separate from the rest for the time being. And just check their behavior for the first week (sometimes even longer) before they will join the others as a precaution. I'm against meds if it's not needed. And not all fish that come from outdoors will have parasites.

Thank you. I appreciate your vast experience! I'd happened to see something on parasites, and of course it was to sell meds, but I did get concerned. My fish are all looking good, getting bigger, and very active. But it's strange how frantic they are about eating, even though they look pretty fat.
