i like but its not WOW! what i would do if i was you it take out those artificial plants and replace with real ones and take out that gravel and replace with playsand and put a black background on it and then it will be WOW!

the plants i had didnt do well...im not going through the hassel of takin the fish out....then pickin up the gravel n puttin sand in...umm no....then with real plants i need better lighting....2 much ...i got the black background though =)

you don't have to take out fish to switch from gravel to sand.

Rinse the sand really really really really well...until it the water in the bucket clears completely in ten seconds. It's better to rinse 1 inch layers at a time...Seems to go quicker. Then gravel vac daily for three days while performing ten% water changes. Next remove the gravel with a net. Then get a coffee mug or some other cup and scoop up the sand in it. With the cup turned up lower it to the bottom of the tank. Dump the sand out onto the glass. make a big pile in one corner and then smooth it out. Repeat until you have around a 1 inch layer...or whatever you want. Next go to a pet store and ask for malaysian trumpet snails...they're good for sand tanks.

here's my girlfriends tank before and after i switched it over to sand. The plants aren't looking to hot in the sand pic but that's my fault...not enough lighting. The sand pic was taken about 20 min. after the switch so it's a bit cloudy...but nowhere near what you get when you don't rinse well enough.

i was thinking maybe a little corner with sand ....like take a corners worth of gravel out n put some sand in...mite make the yoyo a tad bit more comfortable =)
