Do You Guys Think I Should Sterilize My Tank?

in teh 33 i have 1 krib and 1 syno, they are healthy and fine to my knowledge, do you think that i should strip it and sterilize it? the same goes for my 10 gallon that has a betta and some female guppies

i dont want to add a load of fish over the next few months and have the same problem popping up =[

if you guys think its best how shall i go about it? ill probably use salt but if anyone has a better [and safe] method!

Just give em a good going over with hot water and salt.

Thats what i do then i rinse and rinse and rinse....

Some people use 1part bleach to 10parts water then fill with heavily dechlorinated water to get rid of the bleach then rinse really well, i think that would be for very extream cases of disease.

Yea when i did mine i put mine in a large bucket with their heater and filter.

i agree with forestpices with the salt and hot water i dont even use salt just elbow grease lol and hot water

yeah i cant do that now though my tank is too heavy it takes 4 of us to lift it and its fixed into the base with pipes lol thats a sweat on just on its own lol

breeding pair of red devils 6"+
8" silver arowana
and loads mor fish in varius tanks around the house and 10 turtles wich we rescue from all over the country
and im getting another 4x2 triangle tank and stand tomorrow lol
