i second this!!!
ive had nipped fins before on fish and as long as culprit is removed if becoming a problem and clean water conditions , they can grow back very quickkly!!

I also agree. Melafix will also help the fins heal.
eeek couldnt do that id be screaming with the tail in my hand, i cried when old guppy dropped her babies next to the filter and the majority where sucked into it...I had a red tail black shark 4" that got its body stuck in an extra filter that I had in the tank head first I tried everything but could not get it out I kept pulling but it would not budge so I gave it one hard tug and one whole side of its tail came off in my hand . Man it was horrible
I eventually got it out and it looked a bit iffy for a day or two but its tail grew back still nice and red and its back in its old aggressive way chasing everything abot the tank again.
