I had seen this at a fish store, and was wondering what it was, and if it actually works. Or is it more of a pain in the butt.

Moss balls are awsome, and are great for planted tanks, but one downside too them is you have to constantly roll them to keep there ball shape. If you dont they will not continue to grow in the ball and will grow anywhich way.

I was going to get some of these from the shop..But I thought I read that Plecs might eat them? Anyone know if they do or not!

Nahh, I don't think so. But if you do see bite marks, I would either take the balls out or take the plec out!

generally plecs dont eat them. they may have a nibble but shouldn't devour it.
(based on what i've heard, not experience)

ibought one recently my plec doesn't touch it i think they'er great i, going to get some more! there has been less algae on my tank as well since i put it in there!
