these are my last spawn, and I am 90% sure they are both female. and they just had a nice meal so their bellys are a bit full. and I just realised that they are 3 months old today :)

this one I am fairly sure is female

this one...fish on left, I first thought might be male, but now is starting to look very girly to me, also keeps jumping the divider to hang out with the other one, thus the together picture before I seperated them again.

1 looks male to me and the smaller one female.

Although im no expert on bettas, you need someone like netty or modaz or jaded to reply.

almost 100% positive they're girls :) look at the ventrals, very short, most females display much shorted ventrals then males so thats one way to tell.

well thats good because the slightly smaller one jumped the divider for the third time today, and I am sick of fishing her out, so now I took it out. they are sharing a 10 gallon with 5 pygmy corys.

I agree. I like to use mostly the ventrals and anal fin shape. A more square anal fin usually signifies a female. Both of the fish above have squarish anal fins and short ventrals.
