Okay, my mom has a ten gallon fish tank with a Betta (male), 2 African Dwarf Frogs, a Golden Mystery Snail, and 2 Albino Corydoras... I was just wondering if this tank was a good combo. You know, if all of the animals get along well, or do some require a different water temp. (The tank is like around 74*F) We were having trouble with algae until we bought our snail. Then we found out that some snails will have little ones and take over the tank. Is there any way to tell if your snail is a boy or a girl? Thanks for all the help!

I think that I have posted this in the wrong section... :S this site is kinda confusing to me. o well at least i got a post on here hehe

Apple (I'm guessing yours is an apple, though it could be a nerite? They come in a goldy colour) snails need two to have babies, so you should be ok, unless yours is a female, in which case I believe they can store sperm for a few months. They lay their eggs above the waterline in a big clump though, so they're easy enough to see and scrape off. Kill the eggs by putting them in the freezer or bioing water if you don't want babies :good:

It's not the greatest mix in the world; the corydoras should be in a group of six or more and should really have a sand substrate. The frogs would probably be better off in a tank of their own. The tank temperature is fine though!
