Do Tetras Fight?

i have 7 tetras in my tank 3 black widows and 4 flame, they have been ok until today(1st i noticed) 2 seemed to be fighting with each other(flames) would this be becuase i added 4 otos?

Tetra's do normally establish a 'pecking order', but what size is your tank? If it's too small i wouldn't be surprised if the fish are getting upset.

Males will display to each other and look like they're 'fighting' but aggression can also result from being in too few numbers. Tetras should be in groups of at least 6, but personally I would say at least 10.

It will have nothing to do with the otos.

They can do, my male Yellow Tail Congo Tetras (Alestopetersius caudalis) jousted with each other so badly that they inflicted wounds I could not get to heal with lots of water changes and Myxazin.

yes they should be fine in a tank that size. If anything you should probably stock up your numbers.

GOT 7 tetras added 2 weeks ago then added on friday 4 oto,s was going to wait another 2 weeks before adding fish(thought thats what you are supposed to do) will then get maybe another 4-5 fish tetras or rasboras
