do plantted tanks really need c02

I am getting a new light, even though the lighting says it is for plants. it itsnt that much watts. Red plants are my favorite.

If you plan to keep red plants, I would highly recommend high light and CO2 addition.
I found that CO2 addition helped my red plants the most. I had a Nymphae lotus that struggled a bit without the CO2 but now it's huge and looking gorgeous. Same goes for my other red plants.
