I read that higher lighting without Co2 will make alot of algae...I really have no idea about Co2 and how it works and frankly its a wee bit intimidating...

any suggestions or anything??

The more light you have the more you need CO2 as to balance out the plants photosynthesis getting maximum growth and also to stop algae. Basically the faster your plants grow - the less chance of getting algae growing is because the nurients all get used up by the plants. (as far as i understand)
