I've got an almost cycled 60l tank with amazon swords, 2 types of vallis a moss ball and some cabomba.

My lights are on for 12 hours a day at the moment on a timer.

Do i NEED ferts/co2 as id rather not bother if i don't need to.

Edit: Ive just learned about WPG and worked out my light equals 1wpg

No you don't have to. It only speeds up the growing. Maybe if you had the plants that required lots of light and stuff, but if you got the easy to grow plants, should be fine with nothing but light.

Ahhh thats good then.

Id rather my plants grew slower anyway. Less work for me as they wont grow out the top of the tank as often. :p

If you notice certain deficiencies (yellow leaves, homes in leaves etc.) then you probably will need to add some ferts though. See how it goes, but if the plants start to struggle without them, algae may take over.

cut your photoperiod down to 8-10hrs as that will be long enough for plants. Any more can cause excess algae growth
