I have in a 23 gallon tank

7 neon tetras
3 peppered corys
2 bristle nosed cats
1 silver shark
2 clown loaches
2 glass catfish

Am I overcrowding?

Do not get any more fish. you do not need to get rid of any because if they have been living like that for a while they must be okay, but the rule of thumb is for every inch of the fish will be when it is full grown is one gallon taken up in your tank.

Ya i think thats overstocked. i think u meant bala sharks when u mentioned silver shark. They get to like a foot long, same with clown loaches they get to a foot long. And just 1 bristlenose will be fine, theyre pretty messy fish.

Clown loach get way too big, and need to be in groups of 6+ at a minimum. The same applies to the "silver shark".

bristlenoseitplecoman, whilst I don't wish to offend you, that has to be one of, if not the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. Just because a fish has been there for a while does not mean that's the way it will/should/cam be living. Some of those fish are fine but not them all and to remove the ones that get too big is the correct thing to do.
No advice is better than bad advice IMHO.

botia, it would be best to increase the tetras, also increase the corys to a minimum of 6. If I remember correctly most catfish also like to be in bigger groups.

I'm not sure whether your using US gal or UK gal so I'm not sure what to say about the two bristlenose but it would definitely be in the best interest of yours and more importantly, your fish if you were to rehome them.
