currenty in my 190ltr tank which i water change weekly i have,

7 cardinals
4 scissortails
6 emperor tetras
2 popendetta furcata
2 rams
2 adf
1 bn plec
1 hong kong plec
1 blue phantom(who will be removed when he gets too big, only about 10cm at present)
1 denisonii barb approx 9cm in length.

i have lost 3 cardinals over the last few weeks and wondered if that had given me enough space to get another denisonii barb.

what do you think?

You could, but i still say they are too fast a fish for the size of the tank you have.

Why not pickup 3 new cardinals and 6 scissortails for decent size schools. The scissortails grow quite big but dont get as busy as the torpedos

denisoni/torpedo barbs need ideally 4ft of room minimum and prefer to be in a big group, the bigger the better.

when adult they get to about 6 inches and quite chunky and are extremely fast and active so i would think about moving on the single barb and choosing another species :good:
