hi, I have a question maybe that can be resolved here. I have read some other threads on this from here yet I would feel better if i discussed it with some1 who might no a little more about this topic. I have 2 tiger barbs and a beta in a 10 gallon tank and all has gone well so far. but recently i have noticed that the female tiger barb has been resting in the same place for over a couple days now with a very large stomach. She seams to be close to one of the artificial plants i have in the tank and i am curious to know if she is pregnant and if she is the procedures i might take to make sure she gets the proper attention for her offspring. I change the water weekly so I dont think it was that "dropsy" that has been noticed in previous threads - I would appreciate any help. Thank you.

barbs lay eggs so no, she will not be pregnant. tiger barbs are not easy to sex so are you sure it is female? also 1) they need a group of 6 or more, 2) they need more that 10gal and 3) they should not be kept with a betta.

how long has your tank been set up? Is it cycled? (if so how was it cycled?)
