Do I Have A Couple ?

Hi,
Can you help me identify these two Pearl Gouramis ?

The first 2 pictures are of the one i think is a male.

This picture of the one i think is a female. She has a bigger belly that the other Pearl.

They are both about about 2 1/2 inch long.

I want to buy a few more female Pearls and want to make sure i have a male here and that the other is a female.

Can you help ?

oh and buy the way, they are in my Goldfish tank with 5 Fancy Goldfish and they get along just fine.

I think they might both be females by the looks of the fins - males tend to have a long pointed dorsal fin.

Dunno that they should be in with goldfish though - totally different tank setup, someone might correct me on that one - what temp is the tank at?

Thanks for your opinion. It is appreciated. The tank temperature is 26C or 78F. My goldfish are used to that. They all seems to be ok.

As for the Gouramis, the one i think is a male has a longer dorsal fin(it almost goes to the black dot) and his fins are just strating to grow longer. Also it's starting to show some fringes on both the dorsal and on the one under his belly. That's why i think he is a male. Remember that they are still young.
When i bought both of them, they where in a small tank(at the LFS) with a blue gourami that was chasing him around very aggresively and he seemd to have biting marks on his dorsal. It's all healed now.

He chases the one i thing is a female. Nothing bad, look more plyfull than aggresive. But has soon as i sure that i have one mal and one femal, i'm going to try to find a few more females so this one doesn't get chased around too much.

Any body know for sure that i have a male and female ???

Thanks for your opinion. Today the male is showing even more fringes on is dorsal and anals fins, so i'm glad to see that i have a male and female. I will get a few more females to put with them. Thanks for the help.
