Do Guppies Need To Be In Groups? Dont Want Fry.

I fancied getting a couple of guppies for my community tank.

I cant seem to find any information if they should kept in large groups etc.

I dont want any fish babies. Would it be OK to keep a couple of males?


I have a 15gallon tank with 6 glolight tetras and 4 harlequins.

I have 5 male guppies in my community tank, they're just fine. But i wouldn't say you need to keep that many if you don't want to, two or three would be ok i guess.

If you are getting just males, its best to have at least 5 or more to help disperse any agression between them (as there most likely will be).
