Fry should be kept in a tank with a filter to promote better growth and make them stronger

I've raised many fry in 1 gallon bowls(no more than 20 fry per bowl) without a heater or filtration devices , but i do provide them . I do daily water changes to give them oxygen and a desk lamp is placed on them which creates their needed lighting and some heating.
When they reach 1-2 months old they get moved into a 5 gallon(has a filter and a heater this time ). At 4 months old they go back with mom or dad(i keep my sexes seperated).

yes like all fish hry need to breath oxygen. if u havent got a filter change 1/2 water atleast once or twice a day.

It's better if the fry have an air pump, but it isn't vital. It does help them grow faster, though. If you can't get an air pump, do water changes to help add oxygen to the water.

No I have a air pump and I have them in a ten gal tank but the pump makes it really wavy for them.
