Do Fish Regenerate Its Fins ?

Agree with the aforesiad, though my Neons tails weren't unevenly rotted nor bitten, both Neons tail fins had been eaten away evenly across the fin,
in fairly even fashion. Like I said before, there was one fatality in the smallest fish and the other survived and tail grew back.

Water quality is also a factor, my dwarf gourami is missing the forward quarter of his dorsal fin and most of one of his tentacle-things after getting stuck in a castle decoration (which was promptly removed) at the beginning of a fish-in cycling about 3 months ago, and it hasn't grown back, even though the tank is now cycled and he's doing quite well.

That being said, it doesn't neccesarily mean the fish can't live an otherwise healthy life if it doesn't grow back, depending on the severity of the injury, of course.
