totally wierd.
my gourami is having what, to me, seems like a cva or stroke. he (i think) is the only gourami in a well maintained tank of loaches, a plec and one lone bali. just two days ago i noticed he is not moving the fin on one side of his body, nor is he moving the long "feeler" thingie (sorry, not up on my gourami anatomy). there doesnt appear to be any injury and his gill is working fine on that side. there is no discoloration anywhere (altho last week i noticed a red streak in his eye, but it is gone now) he is off his food as of this morning and just looks generally miserable. the rest of the fish are their usual funny selves so i think its him, not the environment. any ideas?

Yes fish can have strokes, it might be best to issolate him, to see if he pullls through, good luck.

Well whatever it was he's in heaven now :byebye: ...fishy heaven, altho with this particular fish he may be in fishy hell, ,,he was pretty mean. at least it was quick, he looked so pitiful with just one fin working...thanks for the advice, i appreciate it!
