I want to know this for when I move fish to differnt tanks, for example will my two angle fishes become "friends"

Well, schooling fish dont like to leave their school, do they.

but that doesn't answer your question very well.
I'd say yes, because, when you say..Have an oscer along, you must replace its nautural socialness with balls, and physical interaction with the fish

I see you have a red tailed shark there, they need a 40gal, could do if they have been fetched up as babies together the angels, but fish are funny as they get older so it's hard to tell.

If they are a mated pair then they will be quite attached, even if they are just buddies they may miss each other if seperated.

Just like how my angels cant use a 10g, I will be moving all my fish to a 45g in a few months.

I was just wondering, because I was thinking of when I did make the move, that I would keep one bristle nosed in the 10 to clean it...unless they would miss eachother.

A bristlenose does more harm than good in a 10G/

They are very high waste producers = more Nitrate = more algae

Much better off with both of them in the 45.

I plan on getting livebears in my 10g after the move, what should I get to eat the algae?

The best way to stay on top of algae is to clean it yourself and not overfeed your fish.

No algae eater will do all the work for you and most are too big for the tank and Otos need to be kept in groups which wouldn't leave you much room for your livebarers.

It's only a small tank, won't take you long!

I believe some fish get attached. I had a breeding pair of Opaline Gouramis and the female eventually died during one of my moves and now the male will have nothing to do with any other females.

Some fish do get attached to one-another, yes. Even unlikely species do it sometimes, like my Betta imbellis. Normal bettas seem to hate one-another for the most part, but my imbellis pair lived together in a 10 gallon and the male moped for DAYS after his bride lept to her death. I got a him a new female and that perked him up a bit, but he doesn't like her as much as the old one and has never even attempted to spawn with her.

I think YoYo Loaches are that way too. I have 4 and they are never seperated. Even back when I switched to sand, I had to move them out of the tank and when I netted one, the other 3 followed the net to the top of the water wondering where their friend was going.

I dont know how many others looked at this link but I sure as hell wouldnt go near any of my tanks with bleach for "cleaning" purposes?

I really have to argue with you here mate, In my experience a red tail is tolerable in anything from a 14gallon (2'x1'x1') to a 20 gallon and nice fish in anythng over a 20gallon, it has to do with the area patrol AND housing given ie hollow log etc
