Maybe it is a dumb question. Do assassin snails kill nerite snails? Or mystery snails?

I got a free assassin snail on a plant I bought this weekend and am wondering if I should put him with my other snails.

Thanks,
Mark

Unless you have small pond or ramshorn snails for them to eat if hungry they will attack your snails and probably kill them.

Make sure you feed it, they are quite happy to eat fish food, If you like you can put in a few Malaysian Trumpet snails for it to hunt.

No i wouldn't.

Assassin snails will even go for each other if food is tight. Once an assassin detects a snail its only a matter of time.

I have plenty, bought 2 last year to stem a snail explosion. The most mazing sight was as the assassins went in you could see the smaller pest snails drop from plants or glass into the sand, self preservation i assume.

That must stress any other snails. I would put it in the same vein as putting a male betta into a community tank. You could be fine, but..
