My guppies are mad.... wuite entertaining, one was going head first in to where my fitler sucks water in - just ot eat algae off,
and they swim really fast from the top to bottom of my tank

it depends on if the fish is doing it or if the fish is suffering from a disease and that is causing the fish to spiral out of control. How long has it been going on for?

iy just does it randomly every now and then i catch him doing it for about a minute then going onto other things like just swimming about. he shows no sign of disease

I agree with colin it can be a sign of desease.
Keep on eye on the fish for when it goes to the toilet, make sure its not long white and stringy, or clear.
If they spin really fast in circles it can be a sign of swim bladder, the fish is dying, internal parasites, brain damage.

poo is normal, luckily hes doing one now. with swimbladder do they swim in circles constantly?

If he swimming in circles fast and doing alot yes there something wrong.
It looks like there chasing there tail.
Does he look thin or bloated.
Can he maintain his balance in the water.

his circles are quite large say 8 inches if that makes sense? and he doesnt look like ges chasing his tail. and he can easily maintain his balance in the water and looks just the right size for a swordtail. (weight wise)
