So, Im making a DIY spray bar, and I think I have it all sorted in my head.

I have 2 TT EX1200, and im thinking I should make a big 4.5 ft spraybar that stretches across the whole back of the tank, with a filter output at each end, and the two inputs at the two back corners.

My existing spraybar is about 2ft from a single output, and the flow is good. The diameter of the DIY spraybar will be 15mm, so I figure that twice the length, with twice the output power will be ok?

Or do you think I would be better with 2 single spraybars? If so, positioned where?

i have an ex1200 and i'm looking for an extra piece of spraybar but cannot find one anywhere, i live in england, been to 2 LFS's and no joy :(

if i cannot find an extra piece, i would be also interested in making one and interested in your invention.

thanks.

I would personally have two separate ones rather than having an output at each end of one pipe. If one filter stopped functioning (or even was just functioning less well than the other) it might end up pushing water from the other filter back down the outflow of the first, which I'm sure can't be a good thing.

i phoned tetratec today in germany and they are sending me a full kit out FOC!!! i had a problem with my newly purchase powerhead last week which they sent yday and they said as a further curteousy they'll send a full brand new spray bar outtake kit FOC!!!

That's pretty awesome, do you need the whole assembly? ;)

ive just gone home at lunch and measured up, i can fit another 1 and a half pieces onto my current spray bar. i was actually advised to keep as many spare parts as possible in case anything happens to it, otherwise i have to buy new.

is your filter under 3 years old? if so ring them 00800 766 88766 its in Germany however free from a UK landline

explain you have 2 units am sure they'll do something for you :)

I was trying to be good and not contact them...

But...

I now have another motorhead, a spray bar unit, and an intake unit coming my way :)

Tetratec customer service is really top notch!!
