Diy Hood Waterproofing ?

When you guys build a hood, what do you waterproof the inside with ? Just building a wooden one.... real wood, not MDF or similar ! LOL

Outside will be stained black...

Not sure if its available in the UK but I'd use tabletop epoxy sealer as I just couldn't trust water resistant stains...

you could use 2 or even better 3 good coats of waterbased varnish, its non toxic and readily available.

Good call, some kind of boating varnish would definitely be the way to go
