Hello,

Ive looked on many sites about the diy co2, and have managed to get all the bits to make the reactor.

Iam wondering about the bubbles part ( the airline witch goes in tank ) ( diffuser)

Can a airstone be used for this? or do i need to buy somthing or make somthing?

Hope someone can quide me to this part off the diy co2?, And will it benifit my plants you think, and how regular does the mixture need to be changed out?

Regards,
Paul

airstones produce too large bubbles, so they arent very efficienct, you could use a limewood diffuser wihch is used in the marine side of the hobby, which is similar but the bubbles are smaller.
Some people choose to run it through the filter so the impellor diffuses the bubbles,
others have used ceramic diffusers,

My advice would be to run 2 bottles, changine 1 mixture midweek ,and the other at the weekend so you have a constant supply of CO2.

Ok i havnt heard or seen off thease before, would you be able to show me a link to purchase thease.

And yes i shall do two, thanks for idea, ill have to get out to buy more line and some connections to join two and also a cheak valve witch i can no longer find.

I hope you can direct me to a link with thease diffusers, has i just though a airstone would off worked, glad you pointed this out :good:
