I have quite a few plants in my tank that are currently growing pretty well, but I was wondering if CO2 is worth it and if anyone knows of a cheaper way than all that technical stuff (im blonde) or a way to do it yourself
thanks guys!

I would say if you have succes without it then I personally wouldn't worry about it. That is of course if your trying to achieve a specific look that you know co2 will give you. Do you dose with any ferts?

i just about get way with the DIY CO2 method (using bottles of yeast + sugar + water) on my 125 litre tank. Anything larger and I imagine you are better off using compressed CO2 (from a canister / bottle + regulators etc etc)

Other than that, you could try dosing your water with Seachem Excel

I am only using a tetra plantmin stuff and it seems ok but quite expensive! Im not going for any look bu want my plants to grow a lot more :) might see how it goes ater xmas as the proper kits seem so expnsive and the diy ones I would probably mess up!
