DIY Breeding net?

I was looking at how the breeding nets are built and was wondering about a DIY one? The ones that I have seen around are just small.....

I have room for a 12" x 6 or 8" one in my 125 Gallon and was thinking of doing something like this because it is larger (less stress on the mother) and I wouldn't need to move the mother out of the tank.

Any one have any insight or advice?

how about just partitioning a apart of the tank off, i did this then moved the other back into the main tank when the fry had been born, just seemed a safer and less stressful alternative

Won't work in a fully planted tank. Besides, I will be moving the fry to a 10 Gallon for rearing.

Why not just have the fry born in the 10 gallon tank? That would basically have the small purpose as the breeding net without the stress that is inherent.
