Hi There

I'm new well sort of have been reading posts for a while now. Anyway I've kept tropical fish for a few years now and have 2 tanks a Juwel 240 litre and a AQ3 65 litre. I would like to split the 65 litre into 2 to be able to have 2 male betas. Now fish I'm okay with but this is too technical for me. The tank is a bowed front so I'm unsure how I will be able to divide it. Are there any manufactors who make dividers for a bowed aquarium? Or is there a way to make one? but I'm not good with DIY hehe

Thank you for your help in advance

Yes it is possible to divide....we have an Aqua Start 320 bow fronted that we have divided. You can get Penplax dividers and Modaz on here sells them. If you drop him a pm I'm sure he'll sort you out with one as they come in different sizes.

Fitting it is easy. They can be cut to size and either clipped into place with the clips provided or as we have done, they can be stuck in with aquarium sealant.

Hi Netty

Thank You so much for replying. I thought maybe it wasn't possible. I have sent Modaz a pm.

Again Thank You Mel x

No problem Mel :good: It initially looks like it may be difficult to divide because of the bow front but it really makes no difference than dividing a normal tank.

Good luck with your project and look foward to seeing the finished result :good:

Thank You that is good to know. I thought I was going to have to try and convince the hubby for a third tank  . Although I still want a third for some females but that won't be for a while.

Thank You I will be sure to post pics as soon as its all set up and have my first Betta. Will you be having any more males for sale in the next month or so? I hate going to my LFS they are always so rude.

Thank you for taking the time to help me :D

Yes we will have some in a another month or two. We're growing on about 80 babies at the moment. If you look on our website the parents are in the gallery and are called Kindralth (male) and Pearl (female). Their Dad is also on there and is called Draco. Some of the babies are already showing the metalic dragon scaling.

We have also got a few babies from our purple Butterfly Halfmoon lines too that are about a month old now.

Sounds like your hubby isn't going to have much choice now you have the Betta bug

OMG they are gorgeous. I will be definetely be keeping an eye out then in the next month or so. I would much rather wait than buy from my LSF. Plus yours are stunning.

Nope he won't  I have always loved betta's but thought I'd better start of with the more common hardy fish. But that was 2 years ago now and I'm desperate for my betta's hehehehehe.

I'll be in touch when you have them for sale and thank you
