Dividers

Just a quick question about dividers.. if they are clear will the males be able to see eachother and flare constantly? And will it stress them out?

My males can see each other 24/7 they flare now and then but other than that its life as normal - this can depend on the betta though

My males completely ignore each other now, but I found adding fake plants on either side of the divider helped to break up their sight-line. After a month or two I slowly started removing the plants so they would get used to seeing each other.

I originally had clear dividers on my Betta tank and my boys went crazy! One of them kept swimming into the perspex and was constantly flaring. The other three spent all their time flaring at each other and couldn't get them to eat. We decided to frost it over in the end and ended up with 4 happier fish.

If I remember right, she sanded the perspex until is was opaque.
