Divided Tanks

"I meant to ask you lionmoon, what sort of filter are you using to be able to have all sections filtered? I can see the lil poles going down but what do they connect to? A bigger power head? Your tanks have my brains ticking over w00t.gif"

They are power filters - AquaClears, actually for the most part.

ReMz, what a HORRIBLE thing to go through!!! No WONDER you won't do divided tanks - gosh, now ya have me worried!!!!

They look beautiful LionMom. I used to have several tanks divided like that! I love that they can see each other just enough to flare sometimes, but they aren't constantly stressed, kwim?
Your aquascaping is very nice too!

I already had 2 incedents because one of them would jump to the other side. The 2nd day I had them Polar jumped on Blues side, but I saw it and got there on time. The 2nd time I came home to find Blue had jumped into Polars side and Polar was at the bottom in the red/green plant adn looked dead. He is fine except a couple of nipped fins. I ended up taking a piece of plastic and stuck it flat on top to where they can no longer jump over. So far so good.

You have to make sure that the divider reaches the top of the hood. That's a major bummer.

I could kick myself in the ass 1000x for my double mistake. Im 100% sure it would never happen again if I divided a tank........ Just don't like the idea anymore.

No worries though. I just caution people with divided tanks to be VERY VERY careful. Bettas are crafty buggers.
