ive put a divider into my 20G tank that originally housed my male , ive split it into 2 sections and added my female, ive moved then plants around a little and also re placed some of the decor, so it looks a little differant to him.

the only prob i am having is, while she seams quite content with herself, he cannot help but stay at the divider flaring .

obviously i dont wish to stress them too much. anything i can do? or is it somthing they just have to get over ?

Try to obstruct his view through the divider with plants, also check he cant jump over the divider, they will find the smallest gaps to squeeze through!!

Heya
The tank that the blue one you are having is comming out of a devided tank and at first him and the copper/silver hmpk would go like mad at each other for hours and i put all the plants from both sides up against the devider but this didnt stop them!! But now they hardly take any notice of each other it took about a 4 -5 days for them to start to relax but now its aprox 5 mins every other day that i catch them they just get used to each other and understand that neither can hurt the other.

thanks thats good news :)

yeh they have calmed down quite abit now and both my tanks are now divided, so everything is set up and ready B-)

When I first put the 3 boys I've got now into their divided tank they flared at each other all the time, but now they really don't pay any attention to each other.
They just need a bit of time to get used to their new neighbours is all.
