Problem with standard-issue sorority: great fat halfmoon female (age 1 year) would kick the crap out of lil cambodian crowntail female (age 3 months) and extremely expensive imported doubletail female (age 4 months). ETC, you get the picture... I have females that fit neatly on the size gradient all the way along it... would NOT be peaceful, so I keep them separately.

Idea: Get a big tank (4 footer) and divide it up into 3 sections. Turn each section into a separate sorority, dividing the females into sections by size.

Does anybody think this might work? Just out of curiosity.

It could work.....but bear in mind that the smallest can often be the biggest culprits at being nasty lol This is why we keep all our breeding females separate. How many were you planning on putting in each section?

netty is right, i have 9 in my sorority.

i have no clue who is the leader yet, but i think the youger and smaller Haiku is going to be!! she flares at the others and then chases them away!! and she is tiny!!!

but i am worried about Honeysuckle, she is a tiny bit smaller then Haiku but dosent get picked on by any one, but also she is skinny!! she is afraid to eat by the others!! but i put food in for her in another part of the tank that she hides out in.. i love her!!
