Dither fish for Mbuna

Hi,

Does anyone use dither fish in their Mbuna setup(s). I was wondering your opinions on whether they are a good idea and if so, what fish?

If your adding fish on an already establish tank, then your better off putting a group of 3 or more fish at the same time, or get smaller fish that hasn't been coloring up...that way one fish won't be cornered and concentrated....If you add one especially a male, it will probably end up dead or pretty badly beaten up....

Mbuna would tear apart anything that would qualify as a 'dither fish', and they don't need them anyway. With the exception of some types of catfish, it's safest to keep mbuna with mbuna.

You don't need dither fish with Malawis. They are really active on their own.
