I hate to say it,, but im fed up with all the post's of people asking what kinda fry they are( no offense, im just tired of it). So here it goes:

Those are guppies, and their fry are born pale green in color, and will not gain any color till begging of maturity.

That is a Swordtail, their fry can be some-what colored depending on the type of swordtail, so if you see platy looking fry, and dont have any platies, then they are swordtails. Also, their nose are generally round at birth.

Those are platy's, and the same rules with swordtails, they fry may have some color to them. Such as the red ones, their fry might be a light red when born. Also, their noses are generally round at birth.

That is a molly, their fry are unique, as when born, they are fully colored, so in this case the fry would be born a goldish color. Or if the female was black, chances are the babies will be black. Another about molly fry is, their mouths are upturnd and pointed at birth.

Sorry if i offended anyone, but i was just extremely annoyed( please forgive my rambling).

NICE!! I like it :good: . I've been finding it a bit annoying too, and when all else fails. You can simply feed it and see what it turns into :fun: .

yes i agree, and how can you not know what type of fry you got anyhow lmao. i also think it is fun to sit and watch what colour they will grow into :D
thanks for the info.

i know it's annoying and thats why i avoid them now........ ;)

Thanks! I am sorry, if anyone is offended, but im about to blow up, but of course, sillly questions like what kind of fry is it, keep this forum running!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No one else finds this annoying?

I don't see why you should be worried about offending anyone, what you said is spot on, and what someone else said about having fun watching them grow to see who's they are is also right.
Theres also the fact that we are on the big world wide web, a few words a click and a search will help anyone find out what they are looking for.
It would also help if they checked out the other posts on the forums first, instead of jumping straight in with the same questions asked a million times before . :p

Yay!!!!!!!!!! SOmeone else joined the " bandwagon". I sometimes ask questions about fish, that i could find on the web, but sometimes i prefer people who i know and have proof they have had them, so they will usually have the right awnser( might be confusing)

You can simply feed it and see what it turns into - HAHAHAHA!!!

I do this ALL THE TIME. I only have platies and mollies and I can tell them apart at birth, but their marking are indistinct and I never know what they're going to look like!

As a general rule, platies/swords have round noses at birth, mollies have the upturned pointed mouth of an adult as soon as they are born.
