Dissapearing Fish!

Hi guys, a few weeks ago i changed tanks and since then everything has been fine. But last night I noticed my corydora was on his side and not moving much. I left him for a while and now he is back to normal. Then i noticed one of my neon tetras had dissapeared.
Really odd, i have no idea where it has gone.
I have taken the filter apart and nothing in there, nothing in the rocks, plants etc. The only other thing is he could have been eaten but there is no sign of bones etc.

Anyone experienced this or have any ideas??

I had a big oto vanish on me a few days ago. I know how incredibly frustrating it is lol. Especially when it isn't likely that it was devoured by a BN Pleco.
Did you check all around the floor and such of the tank? It might have decided to jump out.

Can you list the fish in the tank, to see if we can find a culprit.

5 neons and 1 cory. thats all in there at the moment. the cory has since died. so 4 neons left and 1 missing neon. which i think has been eaten. i cant find any bones or body parts floating about its not jumped out and not in the filter.
really weird!!

Weird yes, but corys can peck at dead bodies.
Did the missing neon show and signs of ill health.

it did actually. it had a very bloated stomach area.

Did he have any lumps on his belly area, and did his red stripe look bleached out.

weirdest thing ever, it has returned. i dont know where from but i have 5 neons again. i took everything out and took the filter apart and couldnt find it, but its back.

I know i cant believe it, i nearly fell over when i saw him swimming around, and he isnt bloated anymore. Random!!!

Same thing happened to me last week with my serpae tetras.
One went missing for a couple of days & I was convinced he'd croaked, so took the tank apart & checked filter etc. on maintenance night - to no avail.

Then couple of days later he's back, but missing 2 fins off his left flank !

Anyhow, he's swimming & eating fine - treated with a bit of melafix for a couple of days just to make sure the fins had a chance to heal.

I guess he got stuck somewhere, but I cant figure out where!
