Has anyone tried disinfecting with either hydrogen peroxide or rubbing alcohol? You'd think these would be better than bleach because peroxide will react with oxygen to form water (or something like that... I just know its eventually water) and the alcohol would evaporate quickly, making rinsing a little easier.
Input?

hmmm... I'm not sure i woudlnt risk it. id rather just stick with bleach just in case the fish have a weird reaction to any unevaporated rubbing alcohol that may have dried and stuck to the surface of the tank. but then agian my mom once cleaned a betta bowl with mr.clean after it died and i rinsed it out-the new fish did fine it it! :p

You can use bleach. It's chlorine, so basically, the stuff you're using right now as dechlorinator will work on it too.

So... there is no residue at all. Anything that's left behind will be taken care of by dechlor.

:good:
