I was just wondering if this is possible and if anyone has done it?
I know its not necessary to do it on glass ones but why not on those eheim filter inlets/outlets which eveyone doesnt like the colour of?
Would have to avoid clogging up the tubes.

Guess its possible, it'll probably attach to it.

i have a little moss growing on my filter inlet rod
i think it could be a good idea but i allways remove it so it dosnt stop water flow

i wonder if you can stick it to a heater

If you got one of those plastic 'grilltype' heater guards, anything could grow or climb along the guard. worthwhile then.

Cheap one here but better ones are available. (I think these are for 150W or less)
