Its generally best to keep smaller L-Number Plecs with Discus. Larger Plec species like Common and Gibbiceps have been known to attach themselves to the Discus sucking at their slime coating. Some examples are L204, L066, L046, L177...... :)
 
What is the best conditions for discus to live in, i know they need a lower pH and a constant temperature, and the levels should be right, but wat else can help.
And would a uv unit or a R/O unit be better to get
 
hi, aussie star.
discus need pH 6.5-7, temperature 27-29, soft water better then hard water but dont too soft, more often changes water more better for your discus..at least 50 percent a day, dont forget check your water pH,dH,nitrit level.
please dont combine with pleco.....
enjoy to keep and raise your discus, they are very simple handling....... :thumbs:
