Are you looking to breed them? If you have a breeding pair - they will breed! Have you researched how to bring up the young and have lots of spare tanks for raising the babies? It's quite a commitment, especially if your new to discus, but worth it in the end .

Yes I want to breed, I have two 40G tanks for the fry, I know how to look after the fry. If anyone cares my discus are doing great not a single problem

Of course we all care - we all love fish thats why we all keep them and are on this forum trying to gain more knowledge and help each other out. Im glad they are doing well so far but its early days yet.

Good luck, I think it would have been easier and relaxing for you if you had started off just keeping them, but if you like a steep learning curve and lots of work, go ahead . I would have just stuck to marine lol.

And of course the members posting care are bout your discus, hence people are spending their free time giving you free personalised advice.

Don't think I'll bother any more though, your fairly unappreciative for someone asking advice in the newbie section .

C'mon now, cut the guy some slack. He is a newbie here & he didn't get the answers he was looking for. I personally appreciate any help I've gotten & I'm sure he does also..................

I'm sorry guys, my dad was on my account when the angry comment was posted (he's a bit of a self proclaimed expert) I appreciate all advice. Good and Bad. Both my discus are happy and the guy who sold me them said he would gladly give me more if I showed him pictures next time. (He was in a Christmas mood and gave me a 7cm Pigeon Blood for $45 )
