Can Discus be compatible with Ram cichlids?
Specifically Bolivians and German Blues and electric blues

My discus and rams are great with each other

I have Gold, Electric Blue and German rams together and they don't bother each other, or the Discus.

Some on here say not to mix Ram species, but I have and they're great together. Hope this helps

will depend on the nature of the individaul fish in this case, the care sheets are close enough, eg temp,ph,nirates etc

They do providing your tank is set up for discus.... eg- big! (bigger than you would need for just rams, pesonally i wouldnt put discus in less than 240L/4ft) and R.O, tap water just doesnt do discus any good long term even if you can aclimatise them to it.

Yeah, i have a 60 gallon tank set up with some rams in there right now, quite under populated
I may just upgrade to 100 gallons in the near future and then purchase discus
Any specific characteristics that i need to know about discus before buying them?
I know they need higher temperatures but anything else really important?

lots really, nitrates,temp,ro water etc, best of doing research first then asking anything you dont get
