Hello
How many Discus could you suitably put in a 45g? We have a RO unit and considering this as another course of avenue. Help much appreciated for our simple question

Hi Amy,

i would agree with 4 as i was told 10G per adult discus...

im sure you will make your mind up soon on what to keep next

I know I know  The rays seem a hard one to get so thinking of further options (alongside an upgrade for my current community ;))

like others said yes it is recommend that 10 gallon per adult discus. so 4 adult discus at least..

Adding 5 would put it at 9 gallons per Discus... It's going to end up being a better number in most cases. More Discus equals less singly of the runt.

Thanks guys. It is a standard 40g so assume a breeder. So we are looking at definate 4, but perhaps 5 to lessen aggression. :good:
