What filter medium do you recomend for the jewel internal system? remembering the p/h?

What size tank are we talking about? If you mean the Juwel Internal box filters (the black box in the corner) then use the filter media provided, the blue/green sponges for bacteria cultures and the white floss for filtering out dirt/debris you can also use the carbon filter to remove chemicals after medication etc. Personally for a Discus tank I would use some kind of external filtration or at least another internal filter. Depending on your local tap water you may want to use RO water for a Discus tank.

External is a much better form of filtration for discus as you do not disturb the fish too much when cleaning the filter And you can put much more media into an external
