Hi i read somewhere that epsom salts are a good tonic for discus when they are bloated?

Yes, Epsom is good to use for bloating, even recommended for anything that has to do internally.

how much epsom salt can i add to my tank i have 180 litre tank

No it wont harm any of your fish. Although it is usually recommended that you remove the effected fish to a hospital tank.
Epsom salt is very water soluble I would add it directly to tank one spoonful at a time making sure its dissolves.

never heard of this, where do u get it from?

Chemist, or on-line at reefdreams.com. They sell it as magnesium supplement (Magnesium Chloride I think, or Mg Sulphate I'm not 100% which) for marine tanks and it is more expensive, but you know it will be pure

I bought mine at the drug store. It is used for baths and such.
