I posted a while ago about the amount of fighting in my discus tank. I finally realise it was the discus pairing up. Since then i have had 3 spawnings. Each time i have the parents have managed to look after the eggs slightly longer.
I came in last night to check on the eggs that they laid on Saturday to find out that they now have tails and are wriggling like crazy!! I am quite chuffed by this. Lookslike some of them will manage to pull themselves away from the glass today.
What is the next step?? Will they attach to the mother for her mucus?? Is that right? What else will they eat?
I have a community tank so am not expecting a lot of the fry to survive at this time. I am looking at getting another tank to house them etc but that won't be for a while.
Any advice on the stages would be appreciated.
